Balamurali Trust honors Dhananjeyans

New Book on Tirumurai released
The 12 books of Tirumurai represent the ancient legacy of Sivabhakti and Tamil music. The Ninth Tirumurai, composed by nine Nayanars, follows the musical tradition of the Tevaram Muvar. It celebrates Lord Nataraja of Chidambaram, known as Koyil - the temple of temples – and several other shrines in 29 songs known as Tiruvisaippa Nrithya Kalanidhi Bharatanatyam exponent the late Lakshmi Viswanathan grew up in Mylapore and was a regular visitor to the Kapaleeswarar temple.
