Notable internationally renewed Neurologist Prof A V Srinivasan who has a clinic in RA Puram was felicitated by his relatives, friends, patients and his admirers for his 50 years of achievement in the world of medicine and patient care.
Vidya Bhaskar, an advocate from Hosur, who had organized the event, said Dr AVS or Sekhar as he is affectionately called was a role model to many youngsters within the family and outside. He had set high standards in his profession worthy of emulation and his public service is commendable.
An ardent devotee of Puttaparthi Bhagavan Sri Sathya Saibaba, Dr Srinivasan provides free complete lunch to those who come to him for free neurological treatment every Thursdays. “This has been going for decades and he spends quality time with his patients even though they may not give him any consultation fee,” says R Thyagarajan, one of his patients.
Dr Srinivasan, his wife Dr Rajalakshmi and their son Mahesh were on stage. Scores of his relatives, friends, patients, admirers and well wishers presented him with a shawl, bouquets and garlands. Some even decorated him with a turban. Dr Srinivasan proposed a vote of thanks.
