As part of the Aadi First Friday celebrations, Sri Thayar Thirumanjanam was performed at Sri Venkatesa Perumal Devasthanam temple.
On the occasion, the newly crafted silver ornaments for Sri Thayar and Sri Andal, generously donated by Ranjani Srinivasan at a cost of Rs. 4 lakhs, were ceremoniously adorned to the deities for the first time. The donor was honored with temple prasadam by the Trustees in recognition of their generous contribution.
Later in the evening, Sri Venkatesa Perumal was taken in a Thiruveedhi Utsavam through the temple streets to mark Dakshinayana Punyakalam.In connection with the Aadi Second Friday, Sri Thayar Thirumanjanam was performed in the evening. On Aadi Sukla Paksha Ekadasi, Sri Venkatesa Perumal with Sridevi and Bhoomidevi Thayars were taken in a grand procession through the Four Mada Streets
Sri Vishnu Sahasranama Parayanam was also conducted on the same evening with the participation of devotees. On the occasion of the Full Moon (Pournami), a grand procession of Sri Venkatesa Perumal in the newly made Garuda Vahanam
(Periya Thiruvadi), constructed at a cost of Rs.1.60 lakhs, was held through the Four Mada Streets.
The Garuda Vahanam was taken alone in a ceremonial Karikolam procession
The Garuda Vahanam was donated by V.P. Premkumar and V.P. Venkatalakshmi Geetha, in memory of V.P. Saroja. The donors were honored with temple prasadam by the temple administration in appreciation of their generous contribution. According to M E Govindarajan Trustee President of the temple
