Secondary School was held last week.

 

As a part of our commitment to keep the spirit of

Mylapore alive and to encourage students to appreciate

our rich culture, this exclusive inter school competition

was conducted at two levels Junior: classes 6 to 8,

Seniors: 9 to 12 with both group and solo events, says

M.S. Jayasri, Principal of the school.

Rules and regulations have been drafted to encourage

disciplined participation and unbiased judgment. The

preliminary rounds began on Oct 10 and after various

rounds with 15 schools competing the event culminated

in the grand finale at RR Sabha, Mylapore last week with

luminaries of the music and dance world gracing the

occasion


Ghatam Kartick and Guru Anita Guha were the guests of

honour, Papanasam Ashok Ramani, Hariprasad, Roja

Kannan and Lavanya Ananth were the special invitees. 


President of the National Boys’ & Girls’ Education Society

Srinivasan K. Swamy, Chairman and Managing Director,

R.K. Swamy Ltd presided over the function. The finale

was well attended by the staff, students and parents of

the three schools as well as participants from various

other institutions like Vidya Mandir, PS Senior Secondary

School, Sri Sankara Senior Secondary School and Padma

Seshadri Bala Bhavan.


The overall winners rolling shield was won by Padma

Seshadri Bala Bhavan Senior Secondary School KK Nagar
