Kartik Fine Arts awards and titles

Kartik Fine Arts has announced the awardees as part of its 49th year art

festival to be held between Dec 1 and Jan 3.

The prestigious title Isai Peroli instituted by Gomathi Visweswaran Trust

- Sriranjani Santhanagopalan and Vignesh Ishwar (vocalists)

The title Nadanamamani Shriram Award of Excellence instituted by

Shriram Group of Companies will be presented to Kanaka Krishna

Prashanth, Bharatanatyam exponent.

Nadaswaroopam Award instituted by P Seshadri, managing trustee of

Thyagaraja Music Festival Trust will be given to Dr. M Narmadha

(Violinist) and Kartik Rajagopal Endowment Award for Best Cultural

Organizer instituted by Kartik Rajagopal in commemoration of his

Golden Jubilee will go to D N Varadharajan, Secretary of MFAC. These

titles and awards will be presented at Narada Gana Sabha Main Hall on

Dec 1,

Nrithya Peroli Award to Rhadha, eminent dancer, teacher and

choreographer, Natya Chudar Award instituted by Saba Foundation to

Madhumitha Sriram, Bharatanatyam artiste.

Nrithyajyothi award of excellence in Bharatanatyam instituted by R.M.

Sundaram’s Family in memory of Uma Sundaram goes to Sushma

Ranganathan

Natya Kalai Arasi instituted by P Seshadri, managing trustee of

Thyagaraja Music Festival Trust goes to Dr Lakshmi Ramaswamy,

Bharatanatyam exponent and Guru Madurai Krishnan Memorial

Honour Madura Kalamani Award instituted by G.V. Aparna in memory

of Vidwan Madurai N. Krishnan goes to Narendra. G, dancer, teacher

and artistic director. These titles and awards will be presented during

the Natya Dharsan dance seminar at Bharatiya Vidya Bhavan Main Hall

on Dec 15.

Tamil Isai Vendhar instituted by KV Rangaswami in memory of his

mother Jayam Vasudevan goes to Dr. Prema Rangarajan, senior

vocalist.

Isai Chudar instituted by Saba Foundation goes to Spoorthi Rao

(Vocalist) DK Pattammal Award of excellence instituted by Dr.

Nithyasree Mahadevan goes to Abhiram G Bode (Vocalist)

Padmashri Dr. Sirkhazhi Govindarajan Memorial Award instituted by Dr.

Sirkhazhi G. Sivachidambaram goes to TK Jayaraman, musician and

composer

Guru Karaikudi Mani Award instituted by Guru Karaikudi R Mani goes to
