Amirda Varshini opens Disaster Management Centre

Amirda Varshini, Congress Councilor 126th Division of

Greater Chennai Corporation, one of the proactive

councilors of Chennai, has converted her office in

Santhome as Disaster Management Centre to operate

24/7 in view of the ensuing monsoon season. She also

launched her website and QR code to enable the public

to register their complaints and seek remedies.

Dr J Radhakrishnan, additional Chief Secretary to

Government of Tamil Nadu and Commissioner of Greater

Chennai Corporation inaugurated the centre by lighting

the kuthu vilakku and praised Varshini for her

thoughtfulness. Dha Velu, Mylapore MLA congratulated

Amirda Varshini for her public outreach programs.

Amirda Varshini who welcomed the gathering highlighted

her activities for the welfare of the people and assured

her full support for the betterment of the community.

Muthiah, assistant executive engineer of the Greater

Chennai Corporation proposed a vote of thanks. A large

number of residents, DMK and Congress functionaries

attended the event and congratulated Amirda Varshini.
