Chennai-based Rasoham Public Charitable Trust - founded by famed dance gurus
Narasimhachari and Vasanthalakshmi and co founded by her daughter Laasya
Narasimhachari - has curated a special series Kutty Kutchery Festival 2023
Concerts Coffee and Conversations for the Margazhi Music season.
Titled Kutty Kutcheri, the festival will be held for ten days from Dec 15 across
different venues and sabhas in the city. Interactive sessions between the
audience and artists from various art forms including classical, folk and
contemporary dance, music and theater will be showcased as part of the festival
that ends on Dec 24.
The festival begins on Dec 15 with a dance program by Vasanthalakshmi
Narasimhachari at Rasoham at 5 PM; on Dec 16 with Paul Jacob and Manickam
Yogeswaran at AF at 6 PM; Dec 17 dance by Anita Ratnam at Nartaki Studio at 6
PM; Dec 18 Theater Akku at Ashvita’s; Dec 19 Thilakavathi Palani at Medai at 6
PM; Dec 20 Priyadarshini Govind at Kanakavalli at 6 PM; Dec 21 Jatayu at Offbeat
Music Ventures at 6 PM; Dec 22 Munna Shoakath Ali and Jyothi Nair at IDAM at 6
PM; Dec 23 Theater Nisha at Chandra Mandala Spaces; Dec 24 T M Krishna at
Teach Auditorium.
The idea behind the festival is to build a community of artists, art spaces and
audiences who would grow together and support each other, says Laasya. She is
also the founder of Rasoham, a public charitable trust based in Alwarpet.
Vasanthalakshmi is the head of the trust.
The fest opens on Dec 15 at 5 pm with a dance recital at Rasoham, Alwarpet by
Vasanthalakshmi Narasimhachari. Entry is free but registration is mandatory.
