Free medical health check up camp
The Mylapore Sengunthar Maha Sabha (MSMS) in association with Lions Club of
Arkay Nagar and Neela Eye Clinic conducted a free medical camp for the needy at
Sri Vellieswarar Temple Marriage Hall last week. It was inaugurated by B
Sahadevan, Assistant Commissioner of Police Mylapore Zone.
The camp was attended by Dr Palani Ravichandran of Saveetha Medical College,
Dr Jayanthi Anandan, Dr S Jayanthi, Dr Jothi Priya, M Sridhar, Lions District
Governor of 324 M; S Prabakaran, president of Lions Club of Arkay Nagar and
chairman board of trustees of Sri Vellieswarar temple, P V Manoharan, former
head of trustees, M S Murthy, president of Mylapore Sengunthar Maha Sabha, S
Nagarajan and M Shanmuganathan, trustees of Sri Vellieswarar temple. J
Karthikeyan, secretary of the Maha Sabha proposed a vote of thanks.
Sustainable Development Trust conducted an awareness campaign on the
occasion of World Diabetes Day by lighting 108 lamps made out of concretized
plastic waste.
