Free eye care camp

A total of about 110 patients were screened at the Jaya Eye

Care Centre’s free eye care camp for diabetics conducted at the

Centre in Fourth Trust Cross Street in Mandaveli on Jan 26.

As many as 15 patients have been suggested for Retina

treatment and 12 potential cataract cases have been identified

for surgery and about 25 people were given free spectacles. All

the free surgeries will be performed at the Centre by Jaya Eye

Foundation free of cost says Dr B Ganesh, medical director of

the centre.

The camp covered free eye check up, check up by Retina

specialists and checking of blood sugar levels. Dr B Ganesh,

medical director of Jaya Eye Care Centre, an NABH accredited

hospital lead the free eye care camp.
