Festival on Rukmini Ramani’s compositions

Shivanugraha Trust and Sivan Fine Arts Academy in association with

Narada Gana Sabha conducted 23 rd annual music and dance festival on

Dr Rukmini Ramani’s compositions at Swami Haridoss Giri Hall at

Narada Gana Sabha from Oct 13 to 15.

On Oct 13, Vaishnavi Anand and her troupe presented a vocal concert

followed by a vocal concert by Cuddalore Dr S J Jananiy and team. On

the following day, Vivek Sadasivam at 5 30 PM and Dr R Suryaprakash

at 7 PM presented vocal concerts.

On the concluding day, students of Kala Sadhanalaya and Guru Roja

Kannan presented Kapaleeswarar Pancharathnam with Sivakumar,

Sailaja Sivakumar, Srekala Bharath and Padmalaksshme Suresh.

Prizes were distributed by Dr Nithyashree Mahadevan and M

Balasubramaniam, managing director of Mangal Tirth Estates was the

guest of honor. The event was followed by a vocal concert by Sarada

Karthik.

Carnatic musician Papanasam Ashok Ramani and Rukmini Ramani, the

daughter of the legendary composer, had made all the arrangements

for the grand success of the event.
