Standing tall as the second-largest economy in India, Tamil Nadu contributes a significant

8.8% to the nation's GDP. This economic strength is built upon a rich industrial heritage. Our

state is home to the highest number of factories in the country, employing a skilled workforce

that constitutes nearly 10% of India's urban population.

Looking ahead, the potential for Tamil Nadu's growth is undeniable. The Tamil Nadu

government's vision of a $1 trillion economy by 2030 is an ambitious yet achievable target.

This vision is bolstered by the state's historical growth trajectory. Over the decade preceding

the COVID-19 pandemic, Tamil Nadu's economy witnessed an impressive average annual

growth rate of 11%. Achieving this ambitious target demands a collaborative effort.

ASSOCHAM Tamil Nadu is poised to play a pivotal role in this remarkable feat. We will

actively engage with the government to create a business environment that fosters industrial

growth and attracts investments. Through focused initiatives and industry collaboration, we

can ensure Tamil Nadu reaches even greater heights of economic prosperity. Together, we

will strive to create a thriving industrial landscape, fostering growth and opportunity for all.

"Through these combined efforts, we will propel Tamil Nadu towards a thriving industrial

future," he concludes.

in-hand with the Tamil Nadu government, industry stakeholders, and academic institutions.
