TN Krishnan Award to maestro TVG

Ekatvam, an Initiative of Entrust Foundation celebrated the 95th birth

anniversary of Violin maestro Prof. TN Krishnan at Bharatiya

Vidya Bhavan, Mylapore recently.

The celebrations was followed by TN Krishnan Memorial Award

function with RK Raghavan, IPS (Retd) former Director of CBI and

former High Commissioner of India to Cyprus as the Chief Guest

N.Ravi, Director, The Hindu Group and chairman of the Bhavan Chennai

Kendra, Veteran Bharatanatyam exponent Nandini Ramani and

Cleveland VV Sundaram were guests of honour

Mridangam maestro Dr TV Gopalakrishnan was presented with Sangita

Kalanidhi TN Krishnan Memorial Award and Violinist HN Bhaskar was

given the Sangita Kalanidhi TN Krishnan Award of Excellence

Rajmohan Krishnan, Ekatvam Managing Trustee and Thiruvarur

Bakthavatsalam, chairman of Awards Committee addressed the

gathering. On behalf of the awardees Dr.TVG gave the acceptance

The award function was followed by vocal concert by Dr TVG

accompanied by S Varadarajan on the Violin, Thiruvarur

Bakthavatsalam on the mridangam Tripunithura N Radhakrishnan on

the Ghatam
